Welcome to Norfolk Wind Energy, a Renville County MN Community-Based Wind Project
Norfolk Wind Energy, LLC
A group of ten local residents and landowners who believe in wind energy established Norfolk Wind Energy, LLC in the fall of 2007 to investigate the feasibility of a commercial wind project in central Renville County, Minnesota.
In February, 2009, Norfolk Wind Energy partnered with National Wind, LLC, a community wind energy developer based in Minneapolis. National Wind will manage and develop at least 40 MW of clean, renewable wind energy in cooperation with Norfolk Wind Energy. We are currently meeting with landowners to discuss our project and the land lease.
