Jeffers Bus Tour - July 15th, 2010

On July 15th, 2010, the Norfolk Wind Energy founders and landowners, the development team along with project partner participants from General Mills, toured the Jeffers wind farm in Cottonwood County, Minnesota. Jeffers is a 50 megawatt (MW) community wind project developed by National Wind. It includes 20 2.5 MW Clipper wind turbines. The landowners got a chance to get a close-up look at how a wind turbine operates along with the opportunity to go inside the turbine. This ended up being a a great educational tour for all involved.

Met Tower Installation

National Wind Assessments installed a 60-meter on-site meteorological tower within the Norfolk Wind Energy footprint in April. Here are some pictures from the installation.
